Summary of PhD Program:
Cervical Screening is routinely offered to all women and all people with a cervix from the age of 25-64 and helps detect any abnormalities in cells that may lead to cancer. Currently approximately 70% of those eligible, attend for cervical screening.
There are many reasons why people choose not to attend, but this PhD will investigate particular issues associated with equality, diversity and inclusion that impact individuals’ decision making. This may include ethnic and cultural considerations, and also considerations affecting trans and gender diverse people.
