The research project is funded by the Norwegian Research Council, and is a socalled “Collaborative Project for Technological Convergence Related to Enabling Technologies”. NTNU and the research institute SINTEF are research partners of the project. Industrial partners will also contribute by supplying materials, and acting as advisors to the project. The PhD position will be focused on studies of the carbon cathode, with the aim of optimizing electrolytes with respect to the carbon material. The work is primarily experimental, implying that electrochemical measurements are combined with characterization of electrodes. The candidate will get to learn the use different spectroscopic or structural characterization techniques, as a part of the research project. The work will be conducted in close collaboration with researchers in SINTEF.

NTNU KULT is hiring a 3-year PhD Candidate for the research project Mitigating diversity biases of AI in the labor market (BIAS). BIAS is a 4-year Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Actions (RIA) project starting in November 2022. The project will critically investigate how Artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology is impacting the labor market, e.g. through recruitment and promotion practices (see further details below). Nano-technology is a strategic research area at NTNU. The application of nanotechnology to medicine has shown great promise in diagnostics, imaging, therapy among others. The PhD fellowships in Real-time hyperspectral data processing in small satellite and autonomous systems are associated with the Real-Time Remote Hyperspectral Imaging on Aerial Vehicles and Small Satellites (ARIEL) project funded by Norwegian Research Council.
