30. Postdoctoral Research Scholar

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

This postdoctoral position is for experimental research on printing of high-quality thin film and single crystal hybrid organic-inorganic perovskite (HOIP) semiconductors into next generation electronic and optoelectronic devices and circuits. The (opto)electronic devices include transistors, phototransistors and photodetectors. Specifically, the postdoc will be responsible for designing formulation and processing approaches and surface modification approaches to integrate high quality HOIP thin films/single crystals into devices, device arrays, simple circuits, as well as the characterization of materials and devices. The postdoc will work in close cooperation with the Sun and Amassian groups to operate, optimize and maintain a robotic experimentation platform designed by the Amassian group to formulate and print HOIP materials, integrate these on-chip and demonstrate devices and circuits. The candidate will work with other team members to implement workflow automation, co-design as well as data science and machine learning algorithms to augment the robotic platform. Solution processing, device engineering, fabrication and testing, photolithography and nanofabrication, and Python programming are required skills. The candidate will also be expected to characterize HOIP materials using X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy, photoluminescence, transport, and photocurrent measurements.
