You will be responsible for the observation and climate model data analysis. You, most likely together with a master’s student under your supervision, will

1) evaluate the performance of current climate models in simulating observed historical NSWS changes and select well-performed models for attribution and projection of NSWS;
2) attribute the observed NSWS to external forcings and internal variability;
3) project NSWS with a focus on offshore wind energy production for the coming decades.

Tietze lab (www.tietze-lab.com) focuses on bioinspired chemical engineering of peptide-based molecules/ materials towards diagnostics and drug delivery. Her research team develops novel approaches to provide access to highly hydrophobic peptides/peptide mimetics, i.e. transmembrane peptides/proteins and venom-derived cysteine-rich peptides.

The cognitive systems group is a research group within CLASP lead by Simon Dobnik, Professor of Computational Linguistics, which addresses core issues in computational linguistics and language technology from the perspective of the relationship of language to other modalities. It consists of members of CLASP working on (i) data models and machine learning of meaning representations for language, action and perception, (ii) semantic models of language, action and perception (computational semantics), (iii) representation learning in language models and inference, (iv) interpretation and generation of spatial descriptions and reference, (v) interactive learning with small data, (vi) data bias and privacy, and (vi) multimodal dialogue, robotics and related topics.

The group is interested in epigenetics and its role in the development of cancer in children and adults.
