1. Postdoctoral Job
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
You will be a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher with significant experience of conducting quantitative research and analysis in a health-related field (e.g. diabetes, cardiovascular disease), and have a good understanding of health inequalities. You will have experience of working with large scale routine health data or longitudinal cohorts, and experience of developing and applying statistical and epidemiological analytic approaches for applied health research. You will have a strong track record of publications and contribution to grants.
Application Deadline: 28/07/2024
2. Postdoctoral Job
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
Our researchers work with the arts and sciences collaborating with psychologists, biologists, musicians and actors, mathematicians, medical researchers, dentists and lawyers. As a multidisciplinary School, we are well known for our pioneering research and pride ourselves on our world-class projects. We are equal first in the UK for the impact of our Computer Science research, and second in the country for our Electronic Engineering research output (REF 2021).

3. Postdoctoral Job
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
We are looking for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to work with Dr Valdas Noreika, Dr Giorgia Michelini and Dr Margherita Malanchini from Queen Mary University London in the project funded by the Baily Thomas Charitable Fund. We will use sleep and sensitivity questionnaires, online psychophysical tasks and accelerometers to study sleep, sensory processing and daytime well-being in adults with intellectual disability. The appointed person will be responsible for participant recruitment, data collection and analysis, database management (Open Access practices), and writing up research reports.
Application Deadline: 21/07/2024
4. Postdoctoral Job
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Post-Doctoral Research Associate in International Arbitration (PDRA) will conduct research into the system and processes of international arbitration and how it is viewed by its participants under the supervision of Norah Gallagher and Maria Fanou. This project will include the design and development of research materials and the development of questionnaires; conducting a sufficient number of interviews; analysis of research data; production of research reports; assistance with marketing and other relevant requirements as shaped by the PI and the CoI.
Application Deadline: 22/07/2024
5. Postdoctoral Job
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The candidate will be highly motivated and self-driven with interest in cancer and-or developmental biology to study the molecular mechanisms underlying craniopharyngiomas, a paediatric Wnt-driven hypothalamic-pituitary tumour. This project lies at the boundary between tumour and developmental biology and aims to establish how oncogenic b-catenin bearing stem cells initiate tumour formation. The lab employs transgenic models, developmental biology and bioinformatics techniques to understand early stages of tumour formation.
Application Deadline: 24/07/2024
6. Postdoctoral Job
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The overall objective of the project is to develop a reduced-order surrogate model for predicting the ammonia direct injection spray characteristics using hybrid machine learning approach. This project is in collaboration with Kyushu University, Japan under the supervision of Dr Amin Paykani at Queen Mary University of London to realise the objectives of the Royal Society International Science Partnership Funded project “Data-Driven Surrogate Modelling for Liquid Ammonia Direct Injection Spray Characteristics”.
Application Deadline: 15/08/2024
7. Postdoctoral Job
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
Antibiotic resistance is a major threat to human health, requiring a better understanding of how antibiotics kill bacterial cells on a single-cell level and how antibiotic-resistant bacteria emerge. This project aims to use imaging, image analysis, mathematical modelling, and stochastic molecular dynamics simulations to investigate the physical mechanism of how antibiotic treatments ultimately lead to bacterial cell death.
Application Deadline: 28/07/2024
8. Postdoctoral Job
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research associate to lead on a Barts Charity funded project. The research involves application of machine learning methods to heart and brain image-derived phenotypes of organ structure and function to develop models of biological aging in UK Biobank participants. The role of environmental exposures in driving accelerated aging and poorer health will be examined, with a focus on obesity and environmental pollutants.
Application Deadline: 31/07/2024
9. Postdoctoral Job
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
Applicants are invited to apply for a 16-month full-time BHF funded post-doctoral position to join Professor Federica Marelli-Berg’s team investigating the role of T cells in cardiac autoimmunity. The position is at the Centre for Biochemical Pharmacology which brings together a group of leading clinical and non-clinical scientists researching the clinical, genetic, cellular and molecular basis of cardiovascular diseases. The Centre is based within Charterhouse Square Campus in the heart of City of London and within the world-renowned William Harvey Research Institute at Barts and The London Medical School, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL).
Application Deadline: 23/07/2024
10. Postdoctoral Job
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
Applicants are invited to apply for a 18-month full-time post-doctoral research assistant position to join the group of Drs M Perretti and J Chen.
