We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the laboratory of Professor A. Claudio Cuello at McGill University’s Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics for collaborative studies on Alzheimer’s disease pathology and the search for novel therapeutic strategies.
Early diagnosis and intervention to delay the onset of dementia are beneficial for patients and their caregivers and can result in substantial cost savings to healthcare systems. The goal of the present research project is to validate novel biomarkers of cholinergic dysfunction in human biofluids from individuals at high risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease, as well as to test the efficacy of a newly developed small-molecule therapeutic in vitro and in vivo using our unique transgenic rat models of Alzheimer’s disease pathology.

The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to developing new datasets to improve the quantification of nitrogen flows in agri-food and energy systems in North America.
