6. Postdoctoral Job

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

Sex hormones do not only regulate reproduction, they also participate in healthy brain aging and in well-being. Still, it is not well-known how sex hormones regulate molecular processes that shape our brain and how they interact with risk and resilience factors that may account for sex differences in healthy brain aging. You will be part of a larger project that studies critical phases in life in which an individual’s susceptibility to depression and mental illness is heightened and strongly influenced by changes in endocrine signalling, namely pre- and early postnatal life, puberty, peripartum, and transition into older age. You will also be part of a project that studies the effect of young adult hormonal interventions in risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.

9. Postdoctoral Job

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The project aims to combine animal models together with a unique cohort of early psoriatic arthritis to investigate new possibilities for therapy and diagnostics based on a deeper understanding of the underlying causes of the disease psoriatic vulgaris (PsV) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA). Mouse models are imperative to the success of the project, therefore mannan-induced psoriasis model will be used since it mimics the human disease better both genetically and functionally. Clinical samples from a large psoriasis cohort will be assessed to develop better serologic diagnosis for PsV and PsA. The project will also bridge animal research to Biotech companies in order to test experimental molecules and assess their effect on animal models of PsV and PsA.

11. Postdoctoral Job

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

We are looking for a motivated postdoc for this 3-year project which has received funding from the Swedish Heart and Lung Foundation for the development of a model (Co-fam) that combines two evidence-based family support programmes, the universal “A Healthy School Start” with the targeted “More and Less”. Today, there is no cohesive family support for children with unhealthy lifestyles and a high BMI, which means that many children and their families do not receive the support they are entitled to according to national guidelines.

12. Postdoctoral Job

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

We are recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to work independently on a project in our creative environment. Your project will aim to understand how human white adipocytes are formed. More specifically, we have recently shown that human white adipose tissue contains three distinct adipocyte subtypes. In this project, we aim to understand from which progenitor cells they are formed. To achieve this, we will employ several state-of-the-art approaches including lineage tracing in transplantation models and advanced cell biology work based on human cells.
