Currently we are studying the role of APE1/Ref-1 in pancreatic and other solid tumors. We are focusing on the development of APE1/Ref-1 inhibitors as well as combinational therapy. This includes using current APE1/Ref-1 inhibitors in conjunction with blocking of other pathways identified through our bioinformatics analyses that will synergize for tumor death. This research makes extensive use of cell and molecular biology techniques and includes small animal (mouse) handling and dosing.
