About EAA Flight Training Scholarships

International students can apply for EAA Flight Training Scholarships 2024-2025, which are fully funded. These scholarships are available for flight training in either the United States or Canada. After each benchmark, the EAA will send the money directly to the flight school.
EAA’s scholarships are supported by dozens of donors, benefactors, and others who “pass it forward” by endowing these programs. In all, EAA awards more than $1 million in aviation scholarship money via various programs each year. All applications are reviewed against the criteria for the individual scholarships and then awarded to those who show the greatest potential to be actively engaged in aviation.
EAA strives to provide scholarships that have a minimum award of $5,000.

Paul H. Poberezny founded the EAA in 1953 and served as president from 1953 to 1989 and then as chairman of the board until 2009. It has grown from a small group of aviation enthusiasts to an international organization that represents nearly every aspect of recreational aviation.

EAA Flight Training Scholarships Coverage
EAA Flight Training Scholarships will provide the following benefits to the recipient:
- EAA makes every effort to provide scholarships with a minimum award of $5,000.
- The money will be sent directly to the flight school by the EAA. The initial payment will be 40% of the total award. Following certain benchmarks, the remaining 40% will be distributed. The remaining 20% will be awarded at the final benchmark.
EAA Flight Training Scholarships Eligibility Criteria
- Must be 16 years old at the time of application deadline.
- Flight training scholarships can be used at any non-university flight school in the United States.
- All scholarship funds must be used at a flight training school in the United States.
- Flight training scholarships must be used within one year of being awarded, so you must be qualified for the flight training process.
- There are no age restrictions.
- All applications are reviewed against the criteria for the individual grants and those with the greatest potential to be actively involved in aviation are awarded.
