Currently, Brazilian researchers are only eligible to apply for Capes-Humboldt research fellowships. Application for the Humboldt Research Fellowship Programme is not currently open.

Eligibility Criteria
Regardless of their subject of study, researchers with a PhD and above-average credentials from anywhere in the globe are eligible for the Humboldt Research Fellowship.
Postdocs
Did you acquire your doctorate, or an equivalent academic degree like a Ph.D., C.Sc., or anything similar, no more than four years ago when you submitted your application? Or do you finish your PhD in no more than six months and are able to write up your findings? Have you already authored scientific works that have been peer-reviewed in publications that adhere to international standards? In such case, submit an application for the Humboldt research fellowship for postdocs if you also satisfy the “General Requirements” criteria.
Experienced researchers
Did you acquire your doctorate, or an equivalent academic degree like a Ph.D., C.Sc., or anything similar, no more than twelve years ago when you submitted your application? You can apply for a publication performance that corresponds to your job level up to 16 years after earning your master’s or diploma if a doctorate is not feasible or exceptional in your field or place of origin.
