The focus of this position is to study the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment in prostate cancer and how to restore anti-tumor immunity in immune-cold prostate cancer. We are seeking highly motivated, energetic and passionate researchers to join our team. The ideal postdoctoral candidate should have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent title in biomedical science, a strong background in immunology, and be skilled to work with flow cytometry, tissue culture, and in vivo mouse work. Dr. Sudha Shenoy’s laboratory is seeking a recent PhD graduate interested in the study of signaling and trafficking of seven-transmembrane/G-protein-coupled receptors (7TMR/GPCRs). 7TMRs/GPCRs are the largest and most diverse class of signaling receptors in the mammalian genome and the target of nearly half the drugs currently in use. We are interested in the regulation of 7TMRs by deubiquitinases, especially in the context of cardiomyocyte death during chronic pressure overload.
