The individual will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of faculty, graduate students and research professionals. The focus of the position is research on rotating machinery – focusing specifically on fluid-film bearings, seals, squeeze-film dampers and rotordynamic modeling, analysis and experimental validation. The successful candidate may supervise and/or coordinate the work of graduate research assistants, students, and others in executing projects and activities supporting the Rotating Machinery and Controls Laboratory (ROMAC) in the department.
