We are now looking for doctoral researchers for a three-year fixed-term contract, funded by the national QDoc doctoral education pilot. Summary of PhD Program:

The position is related to a research project of Luke examining how the large carnivores Eurasian lynx and grey wolf may affect white-tailed and roe deer population densities and behavior. It is relevant for harvest management to gain knowledge about mortality and whether different causes of death such as hunting, traffic and carnivores are additional or compensatory. The project examines the impacts of large carnivores on the deer both at the individual and population level. It also examines potential changes in diet ecology of the carnivores in response to changes in the deer populations.
